Carbon Dioxide Gas Sensors

Biology and Sports Science: All living things give off carbon dioxide. Currently, we do several types of experiments that measure the carbon dioxide levels of various organisms (plants, yeast, humans); however, the data obtained is rudimentary: such as measuring how much a balloon has inflated in order to record CO2 concentrations.
The carbon dioxide sensors requested will be able to measure CO2 levels in real-time, providing students with a graph of continuous data. They will be able to analyze the data and construct well-reasoned scientific conclusions. Conducting a real-time data experiment is one of the required learning targets in both AP and IB science courses.
