Beacon

Sensory seating supports will be utilized to allow students to participate more fully in the general education curriculum. By supporting regulation and attention of students with sensory processing challenges, it will allow them to more fully engage with their peers. We aim for students to feel safe, comfortable, and supported within the general education environment, and we believe this would help. We also want to utilize these supports to support the regulation of students and provide a calming strategy for students who may need a sensory break in order to return to the classroom regulated and ready to learn.

impact

It will promote inclusivity, participation, regulation, and a feeling of safety and support for students.
