The existing Flight class curriculum explores the history, science, and engineering of flight. As STEM has been a growing and dynamic approach to interdisciplinary learning, my goal is to use the drones to make Flight class more current and applicable to future STEM jobs. Students will investigate and explore the engineering of the drone and they will also learn how these drones can be programmed to fly autonomously by incorporating their own programs for flight.


The grant will support the many students who take the Flight elective for years to come. The drones will be part of the curriculum and every student who takes Flight will have the experience of Drones in Flight.
