Empowering Culinary Education: Enhancing Student Learning through Kitchen Supplies

This proposal seeks to enhance the educational experience within the Family & Consumer Science classroom by modernizing kitchen equipment, fostering enriched hands-on learning experiences for students.

This grant proposal seeks to enhance two established curriculums at DHS: Nutrition & Food Science and Nutrition & Food Science 2. It addresses the pressing need for modernized kitchen supplies in our Family & Consumer Science classroom kitchens. Hands-on learning plays a vital role in engaging students and deepening their understanding of culinary arts, nutrition, and essential life skills. With the support of this grant, students will benefit from an enhanced kitchen environment, fostering their confidence and efficiency within the culinary setting. All items procured through this grant will directly contribute to the educational experiences of students enrolled in both Nutrition & Food Science courses, throughout the academic year.
