New Marimba for the Dexter Band Program

Purchase of a new marimba for use by the Dexter Band Program to support and further enhance the musical education of our band students. It will replace the program's old marimba, which was purchased in the early 1990s.

Having a new full size concert marimba would not only enhance the percussion sections’ contribution to our annual performances, it would encourage and foster student interest in that instrument. It has been my experience that new, quality instruments increase student interest and motivation.
