This grant will supply my classroom library with an assortment of young adult books so that students are able to participate in activities such as silent reading, book talks, independent book projects, free writes, and more. After moving districts last year, my personal library books went missing and I now may be the only English teacher in the district with a limited amount of classroom books. My hope is to encourage the love for reading by replenishing my classroom with some lifelong favorites. The books chosen have all been requested by my students.
